“Don’t follow your dream”

I agree with the fact that people today expect to have their dreams handed directly to them, with no hardships what so ever. However, “Follow your dream” is not a “nauseating, rampant philosophy” and is infact a simple sentence that has a stronger meaning behind it. When you follow something, you do not know what is going to happen and what obstacles are going to attempt to stop you from following your dream and the feeling of achieving it. The sentence is simple; “FOLLOW your dream” and nothing else, meaning under no circumstances should you stop following it. You will have to work, and things will get in your way but in order to acheieve your dream you must follow it, otherwise you deal with whatever you get (which is nothing compared to your actual dream). It is true, that people today are getting more and more lazy, expecting more things to be done for them/doing things based on their own schedule without any consequences, and that in order to get what you want, you must work hard for it; it’s only fair.
